Static electricity

Static electricity is awesome and very fun.
Yesterday we went to different classes to do different things with static electricity. We went to room 8,26,5, 7 and last of all Room 10. We had so much fun. My favourite one was the one where you rub the balloon on your hair and put a piece of plastic in the air. I nearly got it but the piece of plastic fell down.

"Hmmm, how does that work?"
In Room 10 we are learning about static electricity. We learnt that in everything there is a negative and positive charge. On the TV we saw a balloon and a T Shirt. Mrs O'C rubbed the balloon on the TShirt and all the negative went to the balloon. We tried putting them to more negatives but it just didn't work. Fact, the negatives don't like being with more negatives. They push each other away. The negatives go towards the positives.

Wow, electricity is awesome. Yesterday we did five experiments in B1 and B2. First we went to Room 7 and tried to stick a balloon on our body parts and stick it to the wall. Next we went to Room 5 and rubbed a balloon on our head and tried to tilt water, some people could do it. In Room 26 we rubbed the balloon on something and tried to lift paper off the ground. After that we went to Room 8 and rubbed a balloon on our hair and it floated up. It was super fun.

I made a little bit of water move by rubbing a balloon on our hair. We made plastic fly. All of us made a person fly.
