Room 10 is trying to decide which pet to get for our classroom. We have been brainstorming the pluses, minuses and interesting facts about each animal to help us decide.
Which pet do you think we should get and why?
The choices are: kitten, tadpole/frog, goldfish, guinea pig, mouse, parrot.

ReplyDeleteI think you should get a goldfish, actually 2 goldfish and then they will have someone to talk to and play with.
I think a kitten would be cute but I think it might run away if you leave the door open.
Frog, no because you will have to catch too many flies.
guinea pig - no , it might be smelly
mouse -NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO - yuck
parrot - no it might talk too much

ReplyDeleteI think you should get 3 goldfish so they wouldn't be lonely and bored.
A kitten is cute but it will cost a lot of money.
Frog maybe not because you have to catch flies instead of doing school.
Guinea pig maybe 2 guinea pigs.
Mouse it might run away.
Parrot it will talk to much and you will get annoyed.
You still have to think about who's going to feed it and look after it in the holidays or weekends and who cleans the cage and everything.

ReplyDeleteTHE McQueen family think that you should get a goldfish because they look pretty and are fairly easy to care for.We think a guinea pig would be smelly and the mouse is just icky. We thought the kitten might wander out of the classroom and get lost. The parrot might talk too much and the frog might hop onto everyones work. We thought two goldfish would be best so they don't get lonely.

Hello Room 10. I think it would be great to get a rat. They are very clever, you can cuddle them and fed them. They are quiet too.

Hi Room 10, It's Samuel's Mum Suzy. I think you should get a goldfish because they are fun to watch and they are nice and quiet. Although Samuel wants a guiena pig, I want to know who would be volunteering to clean out the cage... smelly! I have looked after tadpoles... who became frogs and they kept hopping out of the tank! And sorry I just think mice and rats are yicky! I think the road near school is too busy for a cat although I am sure it would love your company. So my vote is with the goldfish.
