Last week we finished our inquiry - 'Schools Long Ago'. To end the inquiry we looked at what was special about Halswell School and what we wanted to have in our new school. We used 'The Important Book' by Margaret Wise Brown, as a model for our writing. Read below to see what we think is important about our school.
The important thing about Halswell School is we learn every
day.
There are no bullies.
We have got nice teachers.
We care about each
other.
We have iPads for learning.
We learn how to read
and write.
But the important thing about Halswell School is we learn
every day.

The important thing about Halswell School is that there are
children.
The children look after each other and we have friends to
play with.
There is a principal called Mr Topham.
There is playtime and lunch.
We learn every day.
We write and play every day.
Maths is fun.
But the important thing about Halswell School is that there
are children.

The important thing about Halswell School is that it is
awesome.
We are good ACTIVE learners and good kids.
We have good teachers and funny books.
We have iPads to help us learn.
But the important thing about Halswell School is that it is
awesome.
